Domitian, as Caesar, 69-81. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.21 g, 6 h), Rome, 76-77. CAESAR AVG F DOMITIANVS Laureate head of Domitian to right. Rev. COS IIII Pegasus walking right, raising his left foreleg. BMC 193. Cohen 47. RIC 921. Lightly toned and with a wonderful rendering of the pegasus. The obverse a bit weak and with minor roughness on the lower reverse edge, otherwise, extremely fine.
